Beirut Cinema Platform Edition 7 closure

The Beirut Cinema Platform Edition 7 was characterized by distinguishing projects portraying the societies of their makers in the light of their personal quests and destinies. The projects showed a solid will to start over, to take another shot at life.
14 participating projects from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and Tunisia. The film teams met with international film professionals and consultants. They participated in masterclasses and panels on directing, writing, editing, and other film industry essentials to help them complete their projects. They also met with global sales and distribution executives to pitch these projects.

Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée €8000 cash award, assigned by the BCP7 Jury of to “The Last Man” a film project, by Muhammad Salah, produced by Mark Lotfy.
Special Jury Mention to “To Daniel” a film project by Marwa El-Sharkawy, produced by Mony Mahmoud.
Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) $5000 cash award to “Madness and Honey Days” a film project by Ahmed Yassin Al-Daradji, produced by Maytham Jbara.
International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam award to “My Mother and I” a film project by Dilpak Majeed, produced by Marwa Tammam, to participate in the upcoming IDFA edition and a tailor-made program within the IDFA Industry and training activities.
International Film Festival of Rotterdam award to Christelle Younes, the producer of “So the Lovers Could Come Out Again” a film project by George Peter Barbari, to participate in the Rotterdam Lab.
Pop Up Film Residency award, a tailor-made program to “So the Lovers Could Come Out Again” a film project by George Peter Barbari, produced by Christelle Younes.
Mlouk Productions award, Color Grading for “Dead Dog” a film project by Sarah Francis, produced by Lara Abou Saifan and Sarah Francis.
