Ayam Beirut Edition 11
We had the pleasure of presenting moving stories from the Arab world to the audience
We at AFLAMUNA have made the difficult decision to suspend the Beirut Cinema Days film festival after 11 successful editions. This decision reflects AFLAMUNA’s commitment to reallocating its resources to areas where support for Arab filmmakers is most crucially needed.
While expressing gratitude to the successive teams that helmed Beirut Cinema Days, the filmmakers, and the audiences who contributed to the festival’s resounding success and legacy, AFLAMUNA celebrates the work being done by other platforms in the country that effectively showcase films from the Arab region.
Going forward, and taking this festival as a source of inspiration, AFLAMUNA will focus entirely on identifying gaps in the ecosystem of Arab independent film and addressing them comprehensively. By focusing on the most pressing needs, AFLAMUNA seeks to foster an even more vibrant and supportive environment for the community of filmmakers and audiences across the region.
