meet the director

After working for several years as a journalist camerawoman (for France O, Al Jazeera, MBC Egypt, Unicef US), Leïla started working in the field of cinema. She began her career as a camerawoman. In 2010, she developed her own film projects. She’s been living in Tunis for the last few years, and she’s interested in the topics of identity and the Arab world.

Maud Martin founded the production company L’image d’après in 2008 in France after obtaining a master’s degree in philosophy. She has produced around 15 films, and is currently developing numerous projects. Her work is based on the desire to defend an inventive cinema and directors who conceive each of their films as a new space for research.
