Announcing the Films of BCP 6

Beirut Cinema Platform returns for a 6th edition in its new and expanded online format that started in 2021.
In our 2022 edition, we selected 16 projects, fiction and documentary, in development and post-production. The films shed light on issues from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen.
Over two weeks, the teams were offered consultations, introductions, and masterclasses catered to each projects’ needs in various fields: scriptwriting, production, legal, direction, sound, impact distribution, funding, and packaging and followed by three days of intensive meetings with around 90 film experts and professionals.
These encounters, along with the awards granted by our partners, aim to help the selected projects evolve further and find their path to success.
This year’s selection is marked by protagonists searching for the truth, either by investigating political and social issues or pursuing more personal quests exploring identity and sexuality. Women and men are trying to break free from patriarchy and question the gender issue. Sickness and diseases are omnipresent, and the search for a healer is necessary yet unattainable.
We believe in the urgency and power of these narratives and invite you to embark on their journeys.
