meet the director

Born in Salé in 1992, El Mahdi Lyoubi started his artistic career with rap music. His interest in politics and social movements led him to study filmmaking in Rabat before completing his education with a degree in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of Aix-Marseille.

Hicham Falah is a Moroccan cameraman, author, director and producer. He has been running the Agadir International Documentary Film Festival (FIDADOC) since 2012, as well as its training and industry programs dedicated to emerging African filmmakers. His production company CINEMA SALAMA, was founded in 2018 to support and promote Moroccan documentary filmmakers.
