“Wegz” has released a few weeks ago “Back Ya Baladi”, a song from the “Captains of Zaatari”, a film produced and directed by “Ali Al Arabi”.
Ali Elaraby and Wegz are offering all the profits of “Back Ya Baladi” to the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. Their decision comes as a contribution to supporting the livelihoods in the “Za’atari” camp, where the film revolves around the refugees residing it.
The song comes as part of the film’s Impact Campaign, and this confirms once again the importance of films and cinema as effective tools capable of impacting the status quo, as well as highlighting pressing issues within our societies, which are often dismissed.
