Mia Khara (Alright)

The film follows the Greek Andriotty family in Beirut, mixing actors with the real family. Mark (Naim Asmar), a sloppy filmmaker, investigates the violent divorce of his aunt Yolla (Julia Kassar) who believes she is the reincarnation of Maria Callas! Yolla merges fiction and reality with Opera roles, while exposing the family and revealing her nephew’s secret to his Mother (Christine Choueiri).

Mark Karam was born in Beirut in 1991. You can find on top of Mark’s ambition list: Becoming a cat and cinema comes right afterwards. Graduated in 2013, Mark has already made 4 short films played in various international festivals. Mark worked as a digital copywriter and agency producer at Mirum, JWT and is currently a videographer in the humanitarian sector.

Beirut-based producer Sabine Sidawi founded Orjouane Productions in 2007, which produced, co-produced and line produced fiction and documentary films that were screened and awarded at international festival, such as 3000 Nights, Makhdoumin, Parisienne, We Were Communists, and 74 A Reconstitution of a Struggle.
