Goodbye Julia

In 2005, prior to the separation of Sudan and South Sudan, Mona, a middle class retired singer from the north, struggling with her marriage, hits rock bottom when her reckless behavior leads to the death of a Southern man. Tormented by guilt, she seeks silent redemption and employs the victim’s oblivious wife, Julia, as a maid.

A Sudanese filmmaker and Aircraft Engineer based in Bahrain. His short film NYERKUK won the Black Elephant Award at SIFF and the NAAS award for best Arab film at Carthage film festival (JCC). His short KEJERS PRISON was screened at the sit-in square during the Sudanese revolution and his documentary LOVE REPUBLIC was broadcasted on national TV.

A Sudanese filmmaker with a number of short films like TINA, COFFEE & ORANGES, BIRD’S FEATHER and STUDIO, which was supervised by Abbas Kiarostami. His first feature as a director and co-producer YOU WILL DIE AT 20 won The Lion of the future award at Venice film festival. In 2018, Amjad founded STATION FILMS in Khartoum.
