meet the director

Ibrahim Omar, a Sudanese director. Studied cinema at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo and holds a diploma from the French University in Egypt. He founded “Port Sudan Film Days”. Additionally, he launched “Short,” a film magazine, and established the Sudan Film Institute in 2022. Over the past decade, he has directed and produced films for television channels like Al Jazeera.

Aya Yusuf, an Egyptian Producer, Director, and Editor, co-founded “Shoghl Cairo Pictures” in 2020. With a Mass Communications degree from Cairo University, she delved into documentary filmmaking after joining “See Media Production” in 2013. Her editing credits include award-winning films like “From Cairo,” on Netflix. Aya is currently directing “Samar…Before The Final Picture” set to premiere at the Cairo International Film Festival 2023.
