When Susana develops memory and neurocognitive disorders, the image of her present overlaps in her mind with fragments of pictures, home videos, dreams, and hallucinations. Her illness brings up an incident from her Coptic family’s past to ask an unending question about memory, time, and loss.

meet the director

Maged Nader graduated from the Higher institute of Cinema in Cairo. He made several short films, which participated in film festivals, including the Forum Expanded at the Berlinale. He also worked as Cinematographer for several films, including Souad, by Ayten Amin which was officially selected in the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. He is currently the co-executive director of Cimatheque Alternative Film Center.

Tamer El Said is a filmmaker and producer living between Berlin and Cairo. His filmography includes 17 titles that received many regional and international awards. His debut feature-length film, “In the Last Days of the City” premiered at the Berlinale 2016, where it received the Caligari Film Prize.”
