A Feeling Greater Than Love

Fatima returns to a moment in Lebanese history where a social revolution could have been -but was thwarted by the outbreak of civil war in 1975. Following my search in Lebanon today for Fatima Khaweja, a 19 year-old girl killed by the Lebanese army during a worker’s strike at Gandour chocolate factory in 1972, the film asks why the revolution never happened and what hope is there for secular social change today.
