Maskoon’s First Arab Short Film Competition Announced

Maskoon Fantastic Film Festival announced its first Arab genre short film competition lineup.
The selected 10 films are from Lebanon: Aline by Christophe Sejaan, Blinded by Desire by Guibert Najarian, How My Grandmother Became a Chair by Nicolas Fattouh, The Hurl by Samir El Kawas, and The System by Fayez Abou Khater; From Saudi Arabia: Acceptance Land by Mansour Assad and Cycle of Apples by Mahaa Al-Saati; From Morocco: Exodus by Yassine El Idrissi; From Kuwait: J’ai Le Cafard by Maysaa Almumin; From Qatar: The Black Veil by A.J Al-Thani.
The jury is composed of Giona Nazzaro artistic director of Locarno Film Festival, Laotian filmmaker Mattie Do (Dearest Sister, The Long Walk), and Lebanese filmmaker and sound designer Rana Eid (Panoptic, You Will Die At 20, Honeyland) will award the Maskoon Award and best Lebanese films.
